On May 20, 2024, during the 24 solar terms of the Chinese lunar calendar, "Xiaoman" means perfection. In this hopeful season, a grand event about cow welfare and sustainable development of pastures, the "Xiaoman Forum", was held in Lingwu City, Ningxia.

The forum brings together well-known domestic experts and scholars in animal welfare to jointly explore how to improve cow welfare and promote sustainable development of pastures, pointing out the direction for the future of the dairy industry.

At 9:30 am, the forum opened with enthusiastic applause. Firstly, the host introduced the theme and background of the forum to the attending guests, and solemnly introduced the guests who attended the forum:

President Bao Jun: President of the Animal Welfare International Cooperation Branch of the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation and former President of Northeast Agricultural University

Professor Shi Zhengxiang: Professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Water Resources and Civil Engineering at China Agricultural University, and scientist in the position of cowshed design and breeding equipment of the National Dairy Industry Technology System

Teacher Gong Chuntao: Distinguished Professor at Sun Yat sen University, Expert in the Application of the Book of Changes, and Marketing Strategy Expert of the Military Academy

Dr. Wang Bingke: Veterinary Doctor from Northwest A&F University and specially appointed expert from Ningxia Dairy Industry Expert Database

The opening speech of the forum was delivered by Mr. Chen Wei from Winbalance Enterprise Co., Ltd. He emphasized that enterprises should uphold conscience, move forward along the grand road, achieve a career, and inherit a virtue. This is not only the responsibility of the enterprise, but also the responsibility that every entrepreneur should have.

Subsequently, the guests had in-depth discussions on topics such as cow welfare and sustainable development, healthy breeding techniques and welfare technologies for cows, and the application of animal welfare equipment in reducing costs and increasing efficiency in ranches.

President Bao Jun emphasized that animal welfare is an effective support for achieving sustainable development, and that humans need a "one health" systematic solution to address the common problems faced by humans, animals, and the environment.

Professor Shi Zhengxiang gave a detailed introduction to the importance of healthy dairy farming techniques and welfare technologies, and called on cattle farmers to pay attention to the health and welfare of cows.

Dr. Wang Bingke explored the use of animal welfare equipment and its economic benefits from the perspective of reducing costs and increasing efficiency in ranches.

At the final stage of the forum, Teacher Gong Chuntao brought a sharing of "The Way to Sustainable Development of Enterprises". He combined the wisdom of the Book of Changes to elaborate on the path and strategies for sustainable development of enterprises, providing valuable insights for attendees.

The forum came to a successful conclusion with warm applause.
